Favourable comments were received from tourists and golf fans alike about how good the High Street looked .

First place went to Big Bloomers , second to Brambles and joint third to Tradeway and The Flower Shop.

Sheena Baker , who sponsored the event, said she was delighted at the response and thanked all involved for their creative efforts.

WELCOME TO NAIRN BROCHURE

The brand new Nairn leaflet, organised by the ANB with generous financial support from the Nairn Ward Discretionary Fund, has been received and copies can now be obtained from David Brownless at Bike Bug (455416) or Iain Fairweather at the Model Shop. It is an attractive leaflet with things to do and places to go to along with a little local history, an area map showing the locations of visitor attractions outwith the town and a town map showing visitors where they can eat, stay and find things to do. Please do display some in a prominent position so that visitors can easily locate them.

STREET MARKET DISCUSSION

A former Chair of the ANB, Councillor Michael Green, will be coming to talk to all those interested in discussing the possible resurrection of street markets and other events. It will take place in the music room at the Community Centre on Monday 28th May, 7.30pm. There will also be a short AGM for the Association but do not let that deter you from coming as Michael is keen to hear views from as many interested parties as possible. The meeting is open to both members and non members so do come along and contribute to the discussion.
